Frequently asked
questions

Find answers to common questions about working with us.

General

What types of apps do you build?
We build native iOS and Android apps, cross-platform mobile apps using React Native and Flutter, web applications, and progressive web apps. Our expertise spans consumer apps, enterprise solutions, and everything in between.
What industries do you work with?
We work across many industries including productivity, lifestyle, arts and culture, education, navigation, real estate, food and hospitality, and logistics. Our diverse experience helps us bring best practices from various sectors to your project.
Where is your team located?
We're based in the UK and work remotely across multiple time zones, allowing us to provide extended coverage and work with clients globally. We communicate primarily through video calls, Slack, and project management tools.
Do I need a fully formed idea before getting in touch?
Not at all. Some clients come to us with detailed specifications, others with a rough concept or just a problem they want solved. We can help at any stage — from shaping an initial idea into a viable product through to building and launching it.

Process

How long does it take to build an app?
Timelines vary based on complexity. A simple MVP might take 1-2 months, while a full-featured app can take 3-4 months or more. During our discovery phase, we'll provide a detailed timeline based on your specific requirements.
What is your development process?
We follow an agile methodology with two-week sprints and weekly client check-ins. This includes discovery and planning, UI/UX design, iterative development with regular demos, quality assurance testing, and deployment with ongoing support.
How do you communicate during projects?
We use a combination of weekly video calls, daily standups when needed, shared messaging channels, and project management tools. You'll always know what's being worked on and can provide feedback easily.
Can I make changes during development?
Yes, our agile process is designed to accommodate changes. We review progress at the end of each sprint and can adjust priorities for the next sprint. Major scope changes may affect timeline and budget.

Privacy & Data

How do you handle user data in the apps you build?
We follow a data minimisation approach — your app only collects what it genuinely needs. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we design with privacy compliance built in from day one.
Will my app meet data protection regulations?
Yes. We build to internationally recognised standards such as UK GDPR and EU GDPR, and can adapt to the specific regulations that apply to your market, wherever your users are based. We design with data minimisation and privacy-by-design principles from day one, so compliance is built into the foundation rather than bolted on later.
Do you build apps with user privacy in mind?
Privacy is a core part of every project we take on. We design apps to collect only what they need, store data securely, and give users clear control over their information. Our goal is to build something your users can trust from the moment they open it.
What security practices do you follow during development?
We follow secure development practices including code review, dependency scanning, and OWASP guidelines. Before launch, we conduct security testing. After launch, our support plans include ongoing security patches.

Technical

Do I own the code you write?
Yes, you own 100% of the code we write for your project. Upon final payment, all intellectual property rights transfer to you. We may use general frameworks and libraries, but your custom code is yours.
What technologies do you use?
For iOS we use Swift and SwiftUI, for Android we use Kotlin. Cross-platform apps use React Native or Flutter. Web apps typically use React, Next.js, or Vue with Node.js or Python backends. We choose technologies based on your specific needs.
How do you handle app store submission?
We handle the entire submission process for both the App Store and Google Play. This includes preparing assets, writing descriptions, configuring app settings, and responding to any review feedback from Apple or Google.
Can you work with our existing codebase?
Yes, we can join existing projects and work with your current codebase. We'll start with a code audit to understand the architecture and identify any technical debt before beginning new development.

Support

What happens after the app launches?
We offer ongoing maintenance and support packages to keep your app running smoothly. This includes bug fixes, security updates, OS compatibility updates, and performance monitoring. We can also continue adding new features.
Do you provide warranties?
Every project includes a 60-day warranty period after launch, during which we'll fix any bugs at no additional cost. Beyond that, we offer ongoing support plans to keep your app maintained, updated, and running smoothly for as long as you need.
How quickly do you respond to support requests?
Response times depend on your support plan. Essential plans include 48-hour response, Professional plans have 24-hour response, and Enterprise plans can include same-day or on-call support for critical issues.
Can you help if our current developer leaves?
Yes, we can take over existing projects from other developers or internal teams. We'll conduct a thorough code review, document the existing system, and ensure knowledge transfer before making any changes.
